Job Summary
Our client, a joinery and interior fit-out company based in Ajman, is looking for an experienced Joinery Carpenter to join their production and installation team. Key Responsibilities
- Read and understand joinery drawings, cutting lists, and project specifications.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wooden components and joinery items.
- Manufacture and install wardrobes, cabinets, doors, wall panels, counters, reception desks, and other custom joinery works.
- Carry out site installation and ensure proper alignment, leveling, fitting, and finishing.
- Operate common carpentry and woodworking tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Ensure accurate dimensions and high-quality finishing of all joinery products.
- Perform adjustments, repairs, and modifications at the workshop or project site when required.
- Coordinate with supervisors, joinery production staff, and other fit-out trades to complete works according to project requirements.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Minimize material wastage while maintaining required quality standards.
- Complete assigned work within project deadlines.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience as a Joinery Carpenter or Carpenter in a joinery, furniture, interior fit-out, or woodworking company.
- Strong practical experience in custom joinery and interior fit-out works.
- Ability to read and understand basic joinery/shop drawings.
- Good knowledge of woodworking materials, hardware, fittings, and installation methods.
- Ability to use carpentry hand tools and relevant woodworking equipment.
- Good attention to detail and finishing quality.
- Physically fit and able to work at workshop and project sites.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Candidates currently available in the UAE and able to join immediately are preferred.
- Experience in commercial and residential interior fit-out projects.
- Experience with wardrobes, kitchens, doors, wall cladding, cabinets, counters, and custom furniture.
- Experience with MDF, plywood, veneer, laminates, solid wood, and other joinery materials.
- Previous UAE/GCC experience is an advantage.
