Job SummaryThe Government Relations Officer (GRO) is responsible for managing all government-related transactions and ensuring full compliance with Saudi Arabian laws and regulations. The role serves as the primary liaison between the company and government authorities, handling employee immigration processes, company licenses, regulatory requirements, and government portal transactions to support uninterrupted business operations in KSA.
Key ResponsibilitiesGovernment Relations & Compliance- Represent the company before government authorities and regulatory bodies.
- Process and manage all employee-related government transactions including:
- Work visas
- Iqama issuance and renewals
- Profession changes
- Exit/Re-entry visas
- Final exit procedures
- Sponsorship transfers
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Labor Law, immigration regulations, and government requirements.
- Monitor regulatory changes and advise management on compliance implications.
- Coordinate document attestation, certifications, and approvals with relevant authorities.
Government Portals Management- Manage and maintain company records on government platforms including:
- Qiwa
- Muqeem
- Absher
- GOSI
- Mudad
- Balady
- Muqeem
- Chamber of Commerce portals
- Ensure timely updates, submissions, approvals, and renewals on all government systems.
- Generate reports and maintain accurate records of transactions.
- Company Licensing & Registration
- Process and renew:
- Commercial Registration (CR)
- Municipal Licenses
- Chamber of Commerce Memberships
- MISA registrations (if applicable)
- Industry-specific permits and certifications
- Maintain a compliance calendar for all company licenses and legal documents.
- Coordinate inspections and government audits when required.
Employee Support- Support onboarding and offboarding activities.
- Assist employees with government-related requirements and documentation.
- Provide guidance on immigration and labor procedures.
- Maintain confidential employee records and government documentation.
Administration- Maintain organized filing systems for all company legal documents.
- Prepare official letters, applications, and government correspondence in Arabic and English.
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, and Operations departments regarding regulatory matters.
- Track pending applications and ensure timely completion of all government processes.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a GRO, PRO, or Government Relations Officer in Saudi Arabia.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi labor law, immigration regulations, and government procedures.
- Experience working with Saudi government portals and systems.
- Valid Saudi driving license.
- Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken).

Preferred Experience- Experience in contracting, engineering, construction, manufacturing, industrial services, oil & gas, or manpower outsourcing sectors.
- Knowledge of Saudization (Nitaqat) requirements.
- Experience dealing with MHRSD, Jawazat, GOSI, Municipality, Chamber of Commerce, and MISA.
- Established network with government authorities across KSA.
