Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and formulate new products including perfumes, body lotions, creams, hair serums, shampoos, sunscreens, deodorants, and other personal care items with a focus on herbal and natural ingredients.
- Conduct laboratory testing including stability, compatibility, pH, viscosity, and microbial analysis.
- Ensure all formulations comply with UAE regulations (e.g., ESMA/MoIAT), GCC standards, and international cosmetic safety guidelines.
- Evaluate and select raw materials, ensuring quality, efficacy, and supplier compliance.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams for raw material sourcing, scale-up, and production transfer.
- Maintain accurate documentation for formulations, testing results, and regulatory submissions.
- Monitor market trends, consumer preferences, and emerging ingredient technologies, especially in herbal and clean beauty segments.
- Support product improvement initiatives and troubleshoot formulation or production issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field (Diploma in skincare formulation may be considered).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cosmetic or personal care product formulation.
- Hands-on experience with emulsions, gels, serums, and fragrance-based formulations.
- Strong knowledge of cosmetic ingredients, herbal extracts, preservatives, and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and quality control processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with natural/herbal or organic formulations.
- Knowledge of fragrance formulation and stability.
- Experience with product registration in the UAE/GCC markets.
