Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Fighting Engineer with proven UAE experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, inspecting, and maintaining fire protection systems in compliance with UAE fire safety regulations (such as Civil Defense, NFPA, and Dubai Municipality standards).
Key Responsibilities
· Design, install, test, and maintain firefighting systems (sprinklers, hydrants, fire pumps, alarms, suppression systems, etc.).
· Review and approve fire protection system designs, ensuring compliance with UAE Civil Defense and NFPA standards.
· Conduct site inspections and risk assessments to ensure fire safety measures are implemented correctly.
· Prepare technical submittals, material approvals, and method statements for fire protection projects.
· Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities (Civil Defense, DM, ADCD) for approvals and compliance.
· Troubleshoot and repair faults in firefighting systems, ensuring optimal functionality.
· Supervise installation teams and ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
· Prepare as-built drawings, operation manuals, and maintenance reports.
· Stay updated with the latest UAE fire safety regulations and industry best practices.
Requirements & Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Fire Safety Engineering (or related field).
· Minimum 3-5 years of UAE experience in firefighting systems within the construction/contracting industry.
· In-depth knowledge of NFPA, UAE Fire & Life Safety Codes, and Civil Defense regulations.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD, hydraulic calculations, and fire system design software.
· Strong project management and site supervision skills.
· Valid UAE driving license is preferred.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Certifications
· Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS)
· NFPA certifications
· Dubai Civil Defense-approved training
