Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategic Planning:
- Provide visionary leadership and set the strategic direction of the school.
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the American curriculum.
- Develop and execute school improvement plans aligned with local and international benchmarks.
- Represent the school in the local and international educational community.
- Oversee curriculum development, instructional practices, and student assessment.
- Support professional development for faculty and ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
- Foster innovation, critical thinking, and 21st-century skills in the academic program.
- Promote a culture of academic integrity, inclusivity, and excellence.
- Recruit, develop, and retain qualified and motivated academic and administrative staff.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and lead staff mentoring and training initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with staff licensing and professional development as per MOE and KHDA/ADEK standards.
- Ensure a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for all students.
- Monitor student progress, discipline, wellbeing, and engagement.
- Promote extracurricular activities, student leadership, and community service.
- Oversee school operations, admissions, budgeting, and facilities management.
- Ensure compliance with UAE Ministry of Education regulations and accreditation standards.
- Manage school resources efficiently and sustainably.
- Foster strong partnerships with parents, staff, and the wider school community.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders in both Arabic and English.
- Promote the school’s values, reputation, and achievements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field (Doctorate preferred).
- Minimum of 5–10 years of progressive leadership experience in American curriculum schools.
- Strong knowledge of American education standards (e.g., Common Core, NGSS, MAP testing).
- Proven experience in school accreditation processes (e.g., Cognia, NEASC).
- Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
- Knowledge of UAE educational regulations and cultural context.
