Job Title: QC Mechanical Inspector (Static)

Job Purpose:
The QC Mechanical Inspector (Static) is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of static mechanical equipment (e.g., pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, piping, valves, and structural components) in accordance with ADNOC, international codes (ASME, API, ANSI), and project specifications. The role involves inspection, testing, and documentation to ensure all mechanical installations meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection & Testing:

• Conduct inspections of static mechanical equipment during fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
• Perform visual, dimensional, and non-destructive testing (NDT) such as RT, UT, MT, PT, and PMI.
• Verify material certifications, weld procedures (WPS/PQR), and heat treatment records.
• Ensure compliance with ASME Sec VIII, API 650/653, ASME B31.3, and other applicable standards.

Quality Compliance:

• Monitor contractor and subcontractor work to ensure adherence to project specifications and approved procedures.
• Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Control documentation.
• Report non-conformities (NCRs) and track corrective actions.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain detailed inspection records, test reports, and QC documentation.
• Prepare daily/weekly inspection reports and submit to the QC Lead/Manager.
• Ensure all work complies with ADNOC VAP (Vendor Approval Program) and other client requirements.

Coordination & Supervision:

• Liaise with contractors, engineers, and third-party inspectors to resolve quality issues.
• Attend quality meetings and provide technical input.
• Ensure safe work practices in line with ADNOC HSE policies.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Certifications: CSWIP 3.1, ASNT Level II (UT, RT, MT, PT), API 510/570/653 (preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 5+ years in QC inspection of static equipment in oil & gas (preferably with ADNOC or similar Middle East projects).
• Technical Skills: Proficient in reading engineering drawings, P&IDs, and ISO procedures.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and reporting abilities.
