Job Summary:
The Steel Structure Supervisor will oversee the fabrication, erection, and installation of steel structures for a long-term ADNOC project in the UAE. The role ensures compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements while coordinating with contractors, engineers, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervision & Execution:
- Supervise steel structure fabrication, assembly, and erection activities.
- Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, codes (e.g., AISC, AWS, API), and ADNOC standards.
- Monitor welding, bolting, alignment, and grouting processes.
- Conduct inspections to verify quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Ensure adherence to HSE policies, permits (PTW), and ADNOC safety regulations.
- Report and rectify non-conformities and defects.
- Liaise with engineers, contractors, and clients to resolve technical issues.
- Track progress, prepare daily reports, and ensure schedule adherence.
- Manage material deliveries and verify certifications (mill test reports).
- Supervise and mentor steel erection teams, subcontractors, and welders.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 7+ years in steel structure supervision, preferably in oil & gas (ADNOC experience is a plus).
- Certifications: ADNOC approval, OSHA/NEBOSH, CSWIP/AWI certification preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and knowledge of SAP.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work in extreme heat and at heights.
