Job Summary
The Steel Structure Superintendent will oversee the fabrication, erection, and installation of steel structures for a major ADNOC project in the UAE. The role ensures compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements while managing subcontractors, schedules, and site operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supervision & Execution

• Oversee the fabrication, assembly, and erection of steel structures (e.g., pipe racks, platforms, modules, and support structures).
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC, international codes (AISC, AWS, API), and project specifications.
• Monitor subcontractors and vendors to ensure adherence to approved methods and schedules.

2. Quality & Safety Compliance

• Implement and enforce QA/QC procedures for welding, bolting, alignment, and coatings.
• Conduct inspections (dimensional checks, NDT, load tests) and ensure corrective actions.
• Promote a "Zero Harm" culture by enforcing HSE policies (PTW, JSA, toolbox talks).

3. Planning & Coordination

• Review engineering drawings, method statements, and lifting plans.
• Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, and construction teams to resolve technical issues.
• Track progress and report delays, risks, or deviations to the Construction Manager.

4. Team & Subcontractor Management

• Lead a team of foremen, welders, riggers, and inspectors.
• Conduct daily briefings and ensure proper manpower and equipment allocation.
• Evaluate subcontractor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain records (inspection reports, as-built drawings, material certifications).
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports for project management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Diploma/Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience:
• 12+ years in steel construction in a supervisory role.
• GCC/ADNOC project experience is mandatory.
• Certifications: OSHA/NEBOSH, AWS/CWI (preferred), ADNOC approval (plus).

Skills:

• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, and construction software.
• Strong knowledge of heavy lifting, rigging, and bolting techniques.
• Fluent in English
