Job Title: Plant Inspector / API Inspector / Mechanical API Inspector

Our client is looking for experienced Onshore/Offshore Inspectors. Previous experience with in-service pressure equipment will be essential in this role.
 
Duties
  • Conduct inspection activities in accordance with Client standards, guidelines, and procedures as supported.
  • Supervision of non-dedicated Plant Inspectors and NDT personnel, where required, when deployed to Client facilities for operational and shutdown activities.
  • Attend Client during off-swing periods for inspection liaison, coordination, and training or induction activities, as required.
  • Provide input into shutdown planning and implementation activities, as required.
  • Comply with Client safety rules and other health, safety, and environment (HSE) requirements.
  • Provide prompt reporting (as appropriate) to Clients with respect to HSE and integrity-related issues, as requested.
  • Provide prompt input into HSE reviews and incident investigations.
  • Provide prompt reporting of any anomalies, including equipment calibration issues etc.
  • Supervision of equipment in the facility to ensure proper use and storage, as required.
  • Calibration of equipment on offshore facilities, in accordance with client procedures.
  • Undertake stock take of consumables and equipment in facilities.
  • Ensure all certification and inductions, as required, to undertake the inspection activities on Client facilities are maintained and current.
  • Maintenance of personal documentation (i.e. certification, inductions, insurance etc).
  • Provision of documentation (i.e. certification, inductions, insurance etc) as requested.
 
Requirements
  • Graduate engineer in Mechanical/Metallurgical engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in in-service inspection of Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Pipelines, and Storage tanks in the oil & gas industry.
  • Inspection during the construction of pipelines, storage tanks, and pressure vessels is essential.
  • Knowledge of ASME/API/BS/TEMA codes /standards is essential. Shall be fully conversant with ASME Sections VIII, IX, V; ASME 31.3, 31.4, 31.8 & B31G, API 510, 570, API 650, 653, TEMA, and other relevant codes.
  • Certificates of API 510, API 570, API 653, and CSWIP3.1.
  • fully conversant with NDT techniques, Radiographic interpretations.
  • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken is required.
  • computer literate. Shall have the ability to pass CLIENT Permit to Work system and consolidated permit to work system.
